My name is Anya. I'm 12 years old and I'm from Georgia, but I'm currently living in Massachusetts. In 2013, my grandfather passed away. That made me really sad because me and my grandfather was really close and we did a lot of stuff together. In 2016, my first niece was born and the same year, probably two months earlier, my grandmother had passed away. I didn't know what to do at that time because me and my grandma we was closer than me and my grandfather and I couldn't do anything at that time. But in 2018, I joined majorette. And that made me feel like I found a passion that I really loved too. I think the challenges that I've been through helped me grow, like how passionate and like, after all like the stuff that I have been through in life, the people coming into my life, I feel like I had to be passionate for other people and I had to be positive around people doing different things
